The Network Gathering is an annual event where we can take a step back from our busy lives to reflect and refresh ourselves for the year ahead, it offers us a chance to develop friendships, learn and share new ideas and skills with each other and discover how we can best support each other as active citizens interested in making the world a little bit better. 🙂
This year we will be heading to the beautiful County Clare and staying in the Boghill Centre. We will have the entire place to ourselves with our own vegetarian caterer and free reign of the beautiful grounds. We will be putting on a bus free for you to travel from Dublin to Clare and will reimburse travel costs for those living outside of Dublin and arrage for you to be picked up on arrival in Clare (please see further notes section for details.)
Some of the sessions planned include hearing about and discussing campaigns that Young Friends of the Earth have been involved in over the last year , Fossil Fuel Divestment, Trade agreements and Fracking. We will have a session on the upcoming UN Climate Talks in Paris, why these are important for us and how we can engage people in the movement in Ireland. We will also have a session on what we would like Young Friends of the Earth to be and discuss our plans for the next year.
There will also be other break out sessions on topics such as creative writing, feminism and international solidarity, as well as this there will be plenty of time to relax in a yoga session or nature walk and get to know each over some good food and fun. 🙂
So please register here 🙂
We will back in touch to confirm our travel arrangements, please read the further notes for details on this.
If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to get in touch – email@example.com or phone 016394652 to speak to Heather.
We really look forward to seeing you here 🙂
