Green Training 2012

On the 6th of October Young Friends of the Earth together with the Union of Students in Ireland organised a training and networking event for students interested in the environment.

On the day we had a panel discussion on ‘Why the youth and student environmental movement matters’ with Oisín Coghlan and Dave Curran. The day also comprised of practical workshops such as how to facilitate meetings effectively, how to lobby university officials, and more. It was a great opportunity for those in Environmental Societies all over Ireland to come together, share ideas and get tips on environmental campaigning, activism and running their societies. At the end of the day we headed to the Porterhouse on Nassau St for drinks.
