This year's Young FoE Europe Network Gathering took place in 'Sunny Village' in Jagnjedovec, Croatia from the 11th to 15th April. During the gathering young representatives from countries all across Europe as well as representatives from South America, South Africa and Asia took part in the event.

They also discussed new and improved ways of communicating with each other and elected the new Young FoE Europe Steering Group. During the gathering we heard from the representatives from South America, South Africa and Asia who told us about the campaigns they were working on in each of their regions and the major issues which concerned them. Grace Herbert an Irish activist taking part in the event commented "Through discussion we found that though the issues and campaigns that each of the countries were working on were diverse, there was a common thread of issues which seemed to be running through most of them- climate change, exploitation of natural resources and corporate corruption. However communicating with one another we also realised another common thread, one of hope, we saw that in each of our countries there were plenty of examples where people were standing together and using their voices to speak out against the social and environmental injustice. "This was a truly inspiring experience, not only did we get to hear and share some extremely empowering stories with each other, but we also made some great friends from all over the world. I would recommend it to anybody." she concluded.
